    • The development of centrifugal model test (CMT), is firstly introduced in this paper. Then its application to slope engineering, especially to understanding the influence of rainstorm and reservoir impounding on slope stability, is discussed. In addition, the problems existing in the CMT are pointed, and some ideas for its further development are suggested.
