DISTRIBUTION OF THE CLAY INTERCALATION IN THE XIAOLANGDI DAM AND EXPERIMENTAL METHOD OF SHEAR STRENGTH

Based on the large amount of data from geology exploration and test and research results, parent rocks of clay intercalation and tectonic force which caused the clay intercalation to formed are studied. Classification, granularity, and distribution of the clay intercalation are also studied. Furthermore, effect of different test methods on shear strength is studied. Then the results of slow shear test on controlled dilated saturated consolidated specimens developed by our institute is analyzed.
