ON THE NATURAL GEOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT OF ZHOUSHAN DEEPER WATER HARBOR AREA, CHINA

In the present paper, physical geological enviroment of Zhoushan sea area is described depth of water, hydrology, coastline, geomorpohlogy, and engineering geological condition, etc. It shows that this harbor area has favourable conditions for building a large scale deep water port. With the development and construction, this harbor area will be of great significance in economy development in east central China.
