A STUDY ON ENGINEERING- GEOLGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ULTRABASIC ROCKMASS ON THE SLOPES OF OPEN PIT OF JINCHUAN MINE

The ultrabasic rockmass is an important unit in evaluation of slope stability of open pit of Jinchuan Mine since it represents a supporting body for entire slope. In this paper the composition, occurence environement, physico-mechanical properties, and structural characteristics of the rockmass are studyied. From the results a quantitative evaluation of the ultrabasic rockmass is performed.
