An integrated study on the change of hydro-environmental system, the types and mechanism of rock-water interaction in reservoir areas is described in this paper. Based on the above-mentioned study, the geoenvironmental change and occurrence of environmental hazards are discussed. An approach to the geoenvironment assessment and geohazard prediction is suggested as well in the paper.
